Account sitting

If you can't play for a while, a fellow player looks after your realm. How to set up account sitting – and what the sitter may do.

Account sitting (called “vacation substitute”, VS, in the game) is Damoria's answer to absences. There is no vacation mode that freezes your account: your castles keep producing and can still be attacked. A sitter can look after your realm during that time.

How to set it up

  1. Open Settings > Vacation substitute, enter the other player's name and the start in the format dd.mm.yy hh:mm, and send the request. You can only have one open request at a time.
  2. The other player receives a report and accepts or declines the request.
  3. From the start time on, they log into your account via their own settings (Vacation substitution for others > Log in).
  4. Either of you can end it at any time. You find all steps under Reports > VS.

A player may sit for as many others as they like.

What the sitter may do – and what not

The sitter can order buildings, research, move resources by merchant and support troops between your own castles, and read your reports.

The 24-hour rule

No joint actions are allowed during the sitting and for 24 hours afterwards – for example, you may not send each other resources, and the sitter may not attack the account they are looking after. Only choose someone you trust completely.
