An alliance is a group of players who join forces. It protects its members, coordinates attacks, shares knowledge and brings real bonuses. You can only be in one alliance at a time, and there is no limit on the number of members.
Founding or joining
Without an alliance, the Alliance menu shows the tabs "Found" and "Invitations". To found one you only need a name and a tag (the short name). Both must be unique; quotation marks, slashes and accent characters are not allowed. Founding is free, and as founder you hold all rights.
To join you need an invitation. On an alliance's info page, "Apply to this alliance" lets you write a message to its leadership. Someone there who may invite then invites you, and you accept or decline in the "Invitations" tab. Many alliances recruit in the forum – once a day in the right section is allowed (see the rules).
Rights
In the member list the leadership hands out four rights: Alliance leader (edit the profile, manage everyone's rights including other leaders), member rights administration (grant rights and titles, dismiss members, assign specializations), invitations and diplomacy (diplomacy entries, map colours, starting dragon raids). The rights are independent of each other – give yourself and your deputies every one you need. Every member can also carry a title, public or internal only.
Your alliance's tabs
- Overview – the alliance chronicle with joins, departures and changes to rights and diplomacy over the last 14 days. This is also where you leave the alliance.
- Members and Profile – rank, points, castles, last login and account sitter of every member, plus invitations; and your alliance's public description (BB codes allowed).
- Message box – an internal notice board. Every member can post, and the latest entry greets everyone when they log in. For circulars straight to the mailbox there is the Herald's Call.
- Specializations, Diplomacy, Spy missions (all of your alliance's spy reports, with the "Spy" premium package), Conquests, contested castles and dragon raids – see Alliance specializations, Diplomacy, espionage, conquest and Alliance dragon raids.
Alliance bonuses at a glance
The specializations work permanently for all members. Once a month the "Alliance Expansion" week (weekly rotation) gives all alliance members a bigger troop queue plus extra bonuses for each active member who is still new to the world. Defeated dragons deliver scales every day, some events have alliance gifts and shared counters, and in the Athanor skills such as Signal Fires and Ward Circle help members near you.
