The world map
Every map view at a glance: main map, static maps, tactical, construction wagon and dragon map, plus colours, favourites and coordinates.
The map is your window into the world of Damoria. It shows you neighbours and targets, bandit camps, wild animals, dragons and free spots for new castles. Open it with the Map menu entry. Every castle stands on a field with fixed coordinates, and the world is divided into continents – see World, continents and fields.
The main map
Drag the main map with the mouse button held down; the Zoom slider changes how much you see. Enter X and Y at the top and click Go to jump straight to a spot. The little C box takes you back to your currently selected castle, and the Select castle list contains your castles and your favourites. At the top you always see which continent and coordinates you are looking at.
Hover over a field to see details: troop strength for your own castles, loot, traps and the feared unit for bandit camps, and population, required troops and suitable units for wild animal camps. Clicking a castle opens its info page, where you can attack it, send resources or save it as a favourite. Clicking a camp takes you straight to the attack screen. Tick the Dragons box to show the dragons of each continent.
Other map views
- Detailed map, Overview map and Large map: below the main map, under "Static alternative Maps", you find classic map sections in three sizes. Scroll with the arrows; a mini map can be shown or hidden.
- Tactical map: a large overview of your surroundings, deliberately without alliance colours. Below it, the continental map shows how densely each continent is settled; click one to jump there.
- Construction wagon map: shows free fields with their construction sites, gem type, resource stars and sanctuaries, and lets you filter by them – see Construction wagon.
- Dragon map: all 100 continents with their dragons and the alliances that rule them. You reach it from the dragon menu – see Dragons.
Colours and markings
Your own castles are highlighted, the currently selected one extra, and members of your alliance get a colour of their own. Enemies, allies and NAP partners appear in the colours your alliance has chosen (see Diplomacy). With Overview of marked players and alliances below the map you can also mark any player or alliance in a colour of your choice – from the colour table or with your own colour value.
Coordinates and favourites
Coordinates are written X|Y, each from 000 to 999: X grows towards the east, Y towards the south. The distance in fields decides how long troops, traders and construction wagons travel (Marching times). Save interesting castles as favourites from their info page and manage them under Favorites. They show up again in the map list and in direct trade.
