Relocating troops
Move troops permanently to another castle of yours: what you need, what it costs and which limits apply.
With Military → Move troops you send troops to another of your castles for good. Once they arrive they belong to the new castle: they defend it, attack from there and take up settlers there.
Requirements
- You can only move troops between your own castles.
- Free settlers: every unit needs settlers. The target castle must have enough free settlers – they are reserved for the troops as soon as you send them (Settlers).
- Training grounds: while they are on the march, moving troops count towards the Military training grounds of the castle they left. On top of that, no more than five moves can run from one castle at the same time – the page shows how many you have left.
- Amber Knight units cannot be moved – they stay in the castle where they were trained.
Costs and recall
Moving troops costs sending costs like any march. A lower speed saves resources but takes longer (Marching times). While the troops are on their way, you can bring them back in the Troop overview with Recall troops.
Move or support?
Moving is a relocation: ideal for gathering an attack army in a castle on the front line or for securing a new castle permanently. Support, on the other hand, is temporary help – the troops remain part of their home castle and come back whenever you want.
