The Mage

The Mage summons random prizes for gold or free spells – from troops and resources to rare castle upgrades. Here is how she works.

You find the Mage in the gold menu on the Premium page. She knows exactly one spell, the Summoning, and every summoning brings a random prize. You cast either with gold (Gold Spells tab) or with free spells (Free Spells tab) and can trigger up to 20 summonings at once. Your winnings then appear on a scroll.

What does a gold spell cost?

Your first 10 gold spells each day cost 1 gold each. After that the price rises by 1 gold with every further batch of ten: spells 11 to 20 cost 2 gold each, spells 21 to 30 cost 3 gold each, and so on. The count starts again at midnight (server time). There is no daily limit; the Mage shows the current price under Price. Under Gold usage (mage) you choose whether world gold or global gold is used first (Gold).

Free spells

Free spells cost nothing; the number in brackets on the tab shows how many you have. You get them like this:

  • every month from your mage castles
  • in the guard's fame shop for 50 fame per spell
  • from the shops of the big events, the advent calendar, conquests in crusades, the Bits shop of the BITMEUP portal (you earn Bits with the BITMEUP missions) and as a bonus with some gold packages
  • every day: if you have none left, a new free spell is waiting for you the next day – use it daily, because it does not pile up

What can you win?

Summoning is a matter of luck. Possible prizes include troops and resources for the castle you currently have selected, amber, build fields for your upgrade stock, gold and premium time, plus time-limited boosts such as more trader carrying capacity, troop boosts or extra slots for your masters. Very rarely there are big prizes, such as a master for a few days or a castle upgrade. During some events a spell also brings event currency.

Time-limited boosts go to the Rewards tab. Their durations add up there until you start them with activate – so you can use them exactly when you need them, for example before a big round of trading. All your past summonings are listed in the treasury log under the Mage tab.
