Senators

You buy senators in the Senate. They are ready immediately – there is no queue – and each takes up one settler. The level of your senate limits which senator level you can buy. The higher the level, the bigger the castles a senator can take over, and the more he costs (table below). The senate page in the game shows up to which castle size, measured by used construction sites, a level is enough.

How a conquest works

1. Use Battering rams to bring the target's Wall down to level 0 – before that, no senator has any effect.
2. Send the senator with a strong bodyguard: he may not march alone, and exactly one senator of the chosen level travels with each attack.
3. If your attack wins, the senator lowers the approval of the inhabitants. When it drops to zero, the castle is yours.
4. Afterwards the castle counts as contested for 14 days: even players outside the usual attack range may attack it (Beginner & attack protection). You can only demolish a conquered castle after two days, a special castle after seven.

Important rules: main castles and amber castles cannot be conquered. From the same castle, only one senator at a time can be on the way to a given target – for several senators, attack from several castles. Once you own ten castles (not counting special castles), you need a deed of conquest for each additional normal castle; special castles can be taken without one. Senators cannot join attacks on bandits, wild animals or dragons. Everything else is explained under Conquest.
