Where your troops are trained

You train infantry, Templar and the Amber Knight in the Barracks, mounted troops and Spies in the Stables, and Battering rams and Catapults in the Catapult workshop. You buy senators in the Senate; they are ready immediately. You always recruit in the castle you are currently in, and you pay from its storage – only amber knights are paid with amber from your account. Every level of the recruiting building shortens training and enlarges the queue.

Queues: everything in parallel

Every troop type has its own queue: spearmen, axemen and archers are trained at the same time, while the units of one type are finished one after another. Resources and settlers from the Living quarters are due as soon as you place the order. If you order more than fits into the queue, or more than your resources and free settlers allow, the game reduces the amount automatically.

The game shows you on every recruiting card how many units fit into a queue. The base size depends on the building level – the table at the end of this page and the level tables of Barracks, Stables and Catapult workshop show it without bonuses. The Tavern enlarges all troop queues of its castle by 1% per level.

The recruitment list

You can recruit in at most 100 normal castles and 30 special castles at the same time. As soon as you order troops in a castle, it goes on your recruitment list for 24 hours; every further order there restarts that period. Castles on the list can keep recruiting at any time, a new castle only when a slot is free. The left menu shows how many slots are in use, and the recruiting buildings show the list with the remaining times. Senators do not count.

The troop master

The troop master is a premium master: he keeps recruiting according to your settings even while you are offline – in up to ten castles to begin with. With him, the recruiting buildings also show the “fill troop queue” button and a button that fills the queues of up to 100 normal castles at once for 3 gold, with the Elite level also in 30 special castles.
