日本語Special research picks up where weapon research ends. It only appears in the Laboratory of a castle once all regular weapon research there is at stage 3 – you do not need to research anything for templars and paladins. Which building levels that takes is summarized under Weapon research.
The three techniques
- Attack technique: +10% attack per level for all troops of this castle.
- Defense technique: +10% defence per level for all troops of this castle.
- Engineering technique: per level, your buildings resist rams and catapults 10% better – and your own siege weapons deal more damage.
Each technique can be researched up to level 20. Costs and research time rise considerably with every level. The tables below show all levels; set your laboratory level and your world above each table and the times adjust.
The gateway to the Athanor
Once all three techniques in a castle are at level 10 or higher, the Athanor appears there. If you are aiming for the Great Work, develop the three techniques evenly.
