Gold

Gold is Damoria's premium currency: you earn world gold in the game and buy global gold. Here is how to get it and how to spend it wisely.

Two pots: world gold and global gold

The gold menu always shows two balances. World gold belongs only to the world where you earned it and stays there. What happens to it when a limited-time world such as Bloodlust ends is decided solely by the transfer thread in the forum (Bloodlust transfer). Global gold is what you buy in the shop; it works in every Damoria world you play in. You can use both kinds for almost everything in the game.

Earning gold in the game

  • Starting and login gold: you get 10 world gold when you start in a world, and 1 world gold the first time you log in each day.
  • Philosopher's stone: in your main castle, the Treasury turns gems into gold – each month as much as your research allows (Advanced research).
  • Rewards: events, the Mage and special promotions regularly hand out gold.

Buying and paying with gold

You buy global gold in the gold menu with the Buy button. During promotions there is sometimes bonus gold or extras that go into your upgrade stock. When you pay, the game always takes your world gold first and only then global gold – so purchased gold lasts as long as possible for other worlds. The only exception is the Mage: under Gold usage (mage) you choose yourself which pot pays first.

Fixed gold prices

  • 3 gold each for an instant build, an instant demolition and an instant research (Build queue & instant build, Research).
  • Also 3 gold: a raw material exchange at the market (free with a trade master), a horn of plenty and collecting all amber mines at once (The market, Amber).
  • 15 gold for instantly demolishing a whole secondary castle (Castles). In the Athanor, the price for speeding up depends on the remaining time; releasing essences outside the free window costs 50 gold.

You will probably spend most of your gold on the premium account, the masters, mini packs and the Mage. Every booking – income and spending alike – is listed in the Treasury tab of the gold menu (your gold log, not the building).
